What You Can Do

Knowledge is the first step. Action is the next.

  1. 1
Listen and learn. Subscribe to and listen to Nuclear Hotseat. Explore our archive of hundreds of episodes and featured interviews.
  2. 2
Find out what is happening where you live. Search online for "nuclear radiation problems [your state], [your city or area]," then search the Nuclear Hotseat archive for interviews about nuclear issues in your community, state, or region.
  3. 3
Find the people already doing the work. Search "nuclear radiation problems [your state], [your city or area], activist or advocacy groups." Subscribe to their newsletters and learn what they are fighting for.
  4. 4
Get involved. Attend a meeting, webinar, demonstration, or hearing — then ask "Where do you need help?" A phone call, showing up, or a skill you have (writing, organizing, fundraising, social media, research, technology, photography, legal knowledge) can make an organization more effective.
  5. 5
Speak out. Don't assume someone else will do it. Tell your friends. Write a letter. Contact your representatives. Ask questions. Make your voice heard.
  6. 6
Put your money where your values are. Donate to a local organization doing this work.
  7. 7
Support Nuclear Hotseat. Independent investigative work takes time and resources. Help keep Nuclear Hotseat going by clicking the red Donate button.

We can make a difference. Support the people, communities, and organizations working for a nuclear-free future.

DON'T JUST KNOW. DO.
