To the wonderful filmmakers presenting your work at the International Uranium Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro, May 18-28, 2023:
I’m honored that the IUFF has acknowledged my work as producer/host of Nuclear Hotseat, the weekly podcast on nuclear issues… from a different perspective. They have named me as a Special Guest at the 2023 Rio IUFF, welcoming me from my home in Los Angeles, California, to the festival, and again, I am deeply honored.
While we media-creators are there together, I hope to talk, laugh, network with you – and that I have the chance to interview you for Nuclear Hotseat. The show is downloaded in 124 countries, syndicated in the U.S. through Pacifica, available on all major podcast channels, and cited in both mainstream media and academic research papers. Being interviewed on Nuclear Hotseat always proves to be a visibility boost for any film, and you’re free to use our interview as part of your media package and website.
In addition, I would like to offer you a special gift. It is a free copy of my well-reviewed nuclear memoir: YES, I GLOW IN THE DARK! One Mile from Three Mile Island to Fukushima and Nuclear Hotseat. It tells the story of my being one mile from the 1979 nuclear accident at Three Mile Island near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and what it took in the wake of that traumatic experience to become an activist. (HINT: It was more than 30 years!) There are laughs, musical comedy interludes, and shocking revelations, along with deep information on the deadly course humanity seems to be following and steps we can take to stop them before it’s too late.
Free PDF of Libbe HaLevy’s book, YES, I GLOW IN THE DARK! One Mile from Three Mile Island to Fukushima and Nuclear Hotseat:
For your free pdf, click on the cover or CLICK ON THIS LINK. It will get you to a downloadable copy of the book to read and enjoy. I ask only that you do not share this link with your network. It is a special perk in honor of the beautiful work you have done to create your films and shepherd them through to completion and distribution… and get them to Rio!
While you’re on the website (www.NuclearHotseat.com), check out any of the 620 episodes (searchable by topics and guests, with a new show every week). And make certain you don’t miss a single episode; go to the yellow opt-in box and fill in your first name and email address. As soon as the show posts each week, you’ll get one email that contains the link and a short description of the episode’s contents.
Are you getting excited? I know I am – and I can’t wait to see all of you in Rio!
As I’m learning to say, um Abraço! – Libbe (lee-BEE)
