INTERVIEW:

This week, a special interview with two women who have lived the nuclear nightmare.  Cathy Iwane and Beverly Findlay-Kaneko are American-born, fell in love with and married Japanese men, and were raising families in Japan when the Fukushima disaster began.   Both evacuated with their children to southern California, where they’ve become active in the battle to keep San Onofre shut down.  Now they’re heading back to Japan for the holidays.  Learn how their lives have changed and what they’re facing with this trip back to Japan.

PLUS:

  • LA City Council gamed out of having a voice in NRC’s actions as Southern California Edison continues to forge towards a San Onofre restart;
  • Japan’s election manipulations yield bad news for nuclear sanity as right wing, pro-nuke LDP wins; lawsuits immediately filed against results;
  • TEPCO proves once again it doesn’t know its ass from its elbow when it comes to the condition of Fukushima – where the dickens did that corium go?!?
  • Black gunk radiating 40-MILLION bequerels per kilogram found in Fukushima;
  • EVIL NUMNUTZ OF THE WEEK:  Japan mandates use of Fukushima rice in all school lunches.
  • …and ever so much more!
